He also knows that Mulgrew is a stooge and does not really represent the teachers in the trenches. After all. hardly 20% of active NYC teachers even bothered to vote in the last UFT election. De Blasio knows this is not a vote of confidence for Mulgrew's leadership. I believe the mayor will do the right thing and give us a decent contract.
