Cuomo Vows To "Save New York City"

Ken Lovett in the Daily News:

ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo, who has been feuding with Mayor de Blasio, recently told a group that one of his top priorities now is to "save New York City," the Daily News has learned.

Cuomo made the comment several weeks ago at a private event for his fund-raising committee, according to sources who were in attendance and another who was told by two people who were there.

Given that Cuomo has pledged $750 million in taxpayer money to a solar company that has lost $1.2 billion since 2008, has seen its losses accelerate since and is under federal investigation, maybe he should try saving his own Buffalo Billion Project instead.

And speaking of investigations, given that the feds are investigating that Buffalo Billion Project, his campaign donors and what appears to be bid rigging in favor of them, Cuomo may have his hands full elsewhere and be unable to "save New York City."

It's kinda difficult to "save New York City" when your hands are in handcuffs.

  2. How sick and tired are we all of this cuomo bozo. I mean this guy seems to be surrounded by drama and the fake governor is just sickening in his presence here in NYC because he gives off this ora of distrust....it seems like everything he says or anything he is involved with is corrupt and cuomo gives one story to jane and another to dick.

  3. Save the City!!!-he says. Cuomo would be be perfect as a cast member of the TV show-'Gotham (The Rise of the Villains) -because that city is in terrible shape. Actually, he could play the roles of the Joker, Riddler and Penguin-all rolled up into one.

  4. Not to mention a particularly Machiavellian Chico Marx wannabe...

  5. When I read the title that Cuomo was going to save NYC, my thoughts were he's going to wear cement shoes, jump in the Hudson River and leave a note that he decided not to torment the citizens of NYC. Unfortunately, it's something else. So the only thing I can hope for is seeing the Machiavellian throw in jail and to do time for a very, very long time in a cell next to Skelo and Silver.
