That concerns me. <br /><br />And as you say, Michael, the phrase "fair contract negotiations" can mean almost anything a person wants it to mean. <br /><br />I bet Bloomberg thinks he's engaged in "fair contract negotiations.<br /><br />Still, it's interesting after Bill Thompson got beaten up in three different newspaper editorials for his alleged closeness to the UFT that Spitzer wants to publicly make nice with the union. <br /><br />What's his motive? <br /><br />He's up in every poll by double digits.<br /><br />Even if the UFT and other unions went all out in ads this last week and a half against Spitzer, it's difficult to see how that would turn the race.<br /><br />Unless they're sitting on something about Spitzer that we don't know about and he's trying to keep them quiet...reality-based educatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01712885202661371924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1628172601886929098.post-41804607920525370642013-08-28T13:41:38.523-04:002013-08-28T13:41:38.523-04:00It's not likely a coincidence that there was n...It's not likely a coincidence that there was no mention of Spitzer's support for charter schools in his policy proposals.<br /><br />Also, "fair contract negotiations" is a far cry from retroactive pay increases for teachers working without a contractsince 2009.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
