New York Gov.-elect Andrew Cuomo (D) named Rudy Giuliani (R) to lead his transition committee on public safety, the New York Daily News reports.
"By bringing Giuliani into the fold, Cuomo may be neutralizing the ex-mayor's potential to be a vocal critic of the incoming Democratic gov on all things security related. After all, if Giuliani helps pick Cuomo's public safety cabinet, how can he trash them later?"
Important to note: Giuliani crossed party lines to endorse Mario Cuomo (D) in his unsuccessful race against George Pataki (R) in 1994.
Didn't Rudy put the city's emergency command center in World Trade Center #7 so he could have a place close to City Hall to go schtup his girlfriend?
And hadn't the WTC been a terrorist target once before in 1993?
So wouldn't putting the city's emergency command center in a terrorist target be a, you know, bad idea?
And wouldn't it be even worse if the rationale for the idea was for Rudy to have a place to entertain away from the prying eyes of his wife, Donna Hanover?
And wouldn't it be worst of all if Little Andrew Cuomo named the guy that did all this to lead his transition team on public safety?
