NY Post Misidentifies NYCDOE Sexual Predator

Tell me what's wrong with the reporting in this story:

An alleged sicko city schools honcho was busted today for sexually abusing a woman by tying her up, shoving a hammer and nail in her vagina and taking pictures, police said.

Laurence Harvey — a $165,000-a-year administrator with the Board of Education — was charged with aggravated sexual abuse after his victim revealed the incident during a counseling session, authorities said.

Five days earlier, Harvey, 46, had been arrested in Brooklyn for allegedly assaulting the woman, who then sought counseling, officials said. It was during a counseling session that she revealed the horrifying sexual abuse, which had taken place in May, authorities said.

Cops said Harvey, who lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, forced the woman to get naked before attacking her with the tools and taking pictures.

Harvey had been supervising support staff in more than 24 schools before he was suspended without pay because of the allegations. He has worked for the Department of Education in a series of managerial positions since 2003, officials said.

Harvey, who was arrested in Harlem, was awaiting arraignment in a Manhattan court.

Notice how the alleged "sicko" is misidentified as a "Board of Education" employee.

He doesn't work for the "Board of Education."

He works for Bloomberg's "Department of Education."

The "Board of Education" doesn't exist anymore.

So why the use of that phrase?

Could it be that the NY Post likes to have anything negative about Bloomberg's "Department of Education" associated with the old dysfunctional Board of Education instead?

Don't want to get too conspiratorial here, but Murdoch's FOX News has a habit of misidentifying Republican politicians who have been arrested for crimes or are engaged in scandals as "Democrats" on the screen (see here and here for two rather infamous examples.)

Odd that they use the old BOE moniker here.

Or, given the jiveass manipulation that Murdoch people engage in, perhaps not so odd.
