So now the Mayor of Money, the man who can't get food, water or power to storm-affected areas like the Rockaways, Broad Channel, Gerritsen Beach and Breezy Point, the man who has ordered the city to demolish over a thousand damaged homes in these areas, has decided that volunteers who give out food to storm victims must be licensed.
Denis Hamill has the story.
The bullying of an incompetent mayor who wants to exert control on everyone's lives. What legacy is he building? A legacy of scandal, mismangement, criminality , corruption wast and incompetence. 911 scandal, cowardly escaping from NY during the Blizzard, Hurricane Sandy ,City Time.......
ReplyDeleteSo wahat if mayor Bloomberg can vomit out facts and data at a Press Conference. He presents a personality that resembles Asperger's syndrome that is unique in its expert recall of city agency factoids.
Does anyone in his family talk to this laughingstock pompous ass? Do his daughters Emma and Georgina even talk to their joker dad?
I read this in utter disgust. Couldn't believe the following, but, at least according to the Daily News, his approval rating is up since the storm. According to the Quinnipiac poll released Tues., Bloomberg got 75% rating for storm response--but it was below Christie (89%), Cuomo (85%) and Obama (84%), I believe I read somewhere else that Bloomberg's overall job rating is up to around 56%. Really makes you question how they conduct the polls. I can't believe there are that many stupid people in NYC.
ReplyDeleteYes, but the polling outfit noted that it is unknown how people affected by the storm without power or rendered homeless by the storm feel about Bloomberg's performance. He is benefiting from the fact that people relatively unaffected by the storm think he's done a swell job (I've seen this from members of my own family.)
DeleteWhen you see people in the Rockaways, Broad Channel, Gerritsen Beach, Breezy Point and Coney Island talk about him, they're less jejune.
The pollsters are only polling people that have electric power. Still, the people of NY have the government they deserve according their awareness, their intelligence and their understanding of political events. How tragic is that?
ReplyDeleteFrom Belle Harbor I will say that the sanitation dept were the heroes of the moment-- amazingly well organized and I guess Bloomberg gets some credit for that.
