From Bloomberg's press conference this afternoon:

Bloomberg: Only 4-6" of snow, minor storm.
A lot of rain I hear.

Bloomberg, pre-Sandy:

Bloomberg: Monday will be a normal day of work in NYC. Sandy won't be anything major.

The storm is expected to be a blizzard by tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I would not expect the mayor to call school tomorrow.

Not after the days lost to Sandy.

But getting students home at 3:30 PM tomorrow afternoon after their day of Common Core test prep is going to be really interesting.

I would bet student attendance to be really low tomorrow.

The media is already saying that if you don't have to go to work tomorrow, you shouldn't, because by the time you have to go home in the afternoon/evening, it will be blizzard conditions.

Going to be a mess.

  1. Let this jackass get a few thousand kids and adults stranded all over creation and he'll be ready to retire by valentine's day. It happened here a few years back when the Sup tried to play cowboy and ignore the weather forecast and ended up with buses in snowbanks and kids sleeping on the floors of barber shops and personal trainer studios. It's not a pretty sight. Best of luck, I fear our new Sup will chicken out and hold class tomorrow too.

  2. Bravo, your blog is not only very informative it provides a laugh at Bloomberg while most times I feel like crying when he speaks. How true the madness that this mutant of a human being is allowed to pass off as facts.

  3. Just imagine if there is another major snowstorm the during the Wed-Friday mid-winter "break". There are already going to be thousands of teachers out those 3 days who were lucky enough to buy vacation tickets prior to November 12th. Mark my words, Boomberg is going to catch some serious Hell from parents on those days: "Why is my child's teacher allowed to be in Hawaii when my kid has to be in school"?

    1. Models have another storm for next on Thursday. Monday sounds like a good window to get out of here and get to Aruba!

  5. Bloomberg does not wake up from his fairy tale, he meeds to wake up and realize that reality is no joke. The weather is becoming more severe and kids are getting hurt and not even in your own home is safe. This blizzard might sound like nothing but you never know. He needs to retire ASAP
