Rosie Perez the only ed deformer I can see on that list.

And even then, she's one of those "actor deformers" who they roll out on Oprah to sell "Won't Back Down" or some TV special pushing deform.

I see some really good names on that list.

Am I missing anybody on that list we should be concerned about?

  1. Is there anyone, in any capacity whatsoever, from Queens, which I believe is still part of New York City?

  2. Heavy on Brooklyn people these days, and of course Manhattan figures.

  3. After the way the Dems handled the selection of Weiner's replacement that led to a Republican victory, I am glad Queens is not represented.

    1. Anonymous 3:51, your vengeful words have no place in his discussion. How dare you state that Queens does not deserve any representation based on a political transaction that occurred over 2 years ago. I can't stand David Weprin either, but you sound like a venomous troll. There are so many reasons why Queens needs more and better representation. I hope you live in an area that is well represented. Please stay there and do not darken any doorways in Queens.

    2. Remind me, didn't Weiner's district straddle both Brooklyn and Queens? Or was it gerrymandered into Queens totally? Hard to keep track, with all the machinations they do...

  4. You would have thought that Cynthia Nixon would be invited instead of Rosie Perez. Cynthia is pro-public schools and an advocate against co-location. I'm truly surprised she's not on the list.

    1. Nixon was on the transition team - I think that was probably the more important gig. Inauguration team is mostly ceremonial, I think.
