De Blasio calling Rahm Emanuel a "great mayor," James putting DFER fav Reshma Saujani on her transition team.
Starting to look like we have two "progressives" who put their walking shoes into the closet once they got elected.
I will wait and see, but would it shock me if the people get screwed, no. I have said for years, one party is all we have...the gr$$n party.
ReplyDeleteThat's it - these politicians all work in a corporatist political system. They are stamped indelibly by it.
DeleteGee, that didn't take long...
ReplyDeleteShe might be paying back Saujani for backing her over Squadron in the runoff. We'll see. Ironic thing is, Saujani is like a vampire. Nothing you can do to get rid of this person - always she comes back, looking to suck more blood.
DeleteAs much as I understand many to be cautiously optimistic over Di Blasio becoming the next NYC mayor, I think many need to these instances in stride. Di Blasio was just elected mayor of the largest city in the United States of America. We dont know who contacted the other first, however if Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Di Blasio are in contact with one another, there is no reaso for Mayor Elect to disrespect the man. Di Blasio doesnt have to agree with Emanuel's policies of policing Chicago but he still needs to respect him, plain and simple. He pointed out in the debate that mayor has to set an example and not blantantly call elected official names even if you dont agree with them (He was pointing out how Joe Lhota called Bloomberg an idiot and when he called TSA 'mallrats').
ReplyDeleteI think you need to cut him slack on this one.
