Corporate Racketeering

Watching the Bears/Packers game on Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox.

A promo for the "new" American Idol comes up.

The voiceover guys says "Critics are cheering the new show!"

The critic in question?

A writer for the Rupert Murdoch-owned NY Post.

That's the new corporatized America where the evaluators are on the same payroll as the people they're evaluating.

Kinda like when the Washington Post - which owns a test prep company - says without mentioning that they own a test prep company that what public education needs is more test prep and high stakes testing.

Or when a computer monopolist says what public education needs is more computers in the classroom for educational purposes - computers that will only run software made by his company.

What a racket.

And they arrested 130 mafia guys this week for "racketeering"?

Pleaaaasssssssseeeeeee - Murdoch, Gates and the Washington Post's Donald Graham ought to be carted out on RICO charges too.

  2. The heads of the REAL five families - Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, BoA, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley - ought to be carted out in handcuffs.
