The Donald Manes Queensboro Bridge

I can't call it the Koch Bridge.

I just can't.

You shouldn't either.

I say we should change the name every few months - just name it after one of the many Koch cronies who went to jail for corruption (or killed themselves) during the third Koch term.

Here, let me get the string of names started:

Donald Manes
Stanley Friedman
Mario Biaggi
Geoffrey Lindenauer
Anthony Ameruso

Koch himself belonged in jail. He managed to skate free, but he shouldn't have a bridge named after him.

Maybe a prison, but not a bridge...

  1. Now, now... nostalgia has its place. Let's bring back those Golden Oldies: Friedman hiding his cuffed hands with his raincoat, Lindenauer's little fedora.

At least with those characters, the corruption (and probably most of the money) stayed in town; Bloomberg's NYC is a global center of corruption, and none of it stays in the neighborhood.
