Moskowitz Mistakenly Thinks De Blasio Praised Success Academy

Eva wrong again:

Charter school operator Eva Moskowitz is firing another salvo in her ongoing war with Democratic mayoral hopeful Bill de Blasio.

Moskowitz has long been engaged in bitter battle with the public advocate over her school network -- particularly on the issue of co-locating charters within traditional public school buildings. She questioned why, if de Blasio is so intent on reining in charters, he sent a letter praising the schools' work.

"We're glad Bill de Blasio recognizes the great work of our schools, teachers and students, so it begs the question why he repeatedly vows to stop us from serving these very children if he becomes mayor," Moskowitz told the Daily News Tuesday. "New York's schoolchildren need a leader, not a panderer."

Turns out de Blasio's government office sends the letter of praise, along with two honorary certificates to be awarded to students, to every high school in the city: "Bill believes in supporting all kids in all schools," said spokesman Wiley Norvell. "He's proud to recognize these stand-out students."

Nice try, Eva.

But as usual, you're completely wrong about stuff.

  2. Success Academy does NOT HAVE a high school—only elementary and two middle schools. Your feeble effort to discredit Moscowitz not only demonstrates your absolute ignorance of her work, but also exemplifies the fast & loose approach to the truth you accuse Moscowitz of. Your hypocrisy would be stunning if it weren't so typical of the status quo defenders.
