Off Duty And Undercover NYPD Cops Took Part In The Biker Chase Of Man In SUV

The Daily News reports:

A pair of NYPD detectives rode last weekend with the motorcycle mob that battered a Manhattan dad as his terrified family watched, a source told the Daily News.

The two cops apparently waited several days after Sunday’s brutal assault before informing supervisors about their involvement in the high-profile case, the source said.

One of the two was an off-duty undercover who acknowledged he was at 178th St. on the Henry Hudson Parkway when the beatdown began — but opted to steer clear rather than blow his cover, the source said.

A second source indicated two or three more officers were riding with the bikers, although their roles in the wild melee were unknown.

I asked in a couple of previous posts where the cops were for the four mile Mad Max biker chase on the West Side Highway that ended in a man being brutally beaten in front of his wife and 2 year old.

Turns out they were there the whole time as part of the motorcycle gang.

And they did nothing to stop the madness.

Outrageous.

Just outrageous.

Apparently holding one's cover intact is more important than stopping a crime in progress.

I wonder if they would have been so passive at Zuccotti.
