So unlike Joel Klein, who famously looked at his Blackberry rather than the eyes of people talking to him, or Cathie Black, who mocked parents with jokes about concentration camps, new schools chancellor Dennis Walcott listens to parents.
So says the Daily News.
But so what?
Parents complain about overcrowding in schools, but Walcott says he will change nothing.
Parents complain about charter schools pushing out traditional public schools, but Walcott says he will change nothing.
Parents complain about the direction of education policy, the over -reliance on technology and testing, but Walcott says he will change nothing.
So who cares if he listens?
Nothing is going to change.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss - only politer and less of an asshole.
