A teacher is arrested in Brooklyn for making threats that she would go "Columbine" on her fellow teachers.
The Daily News makes sure that readers know she makes $75,796 a year.
Why is that relevant to the story?
Will this be another one of those incidents where one teacher out of 75,000 is accused of doing something wrong and the Daily News editorial board uses it as proof positive for why all teachers should lose tenure and seniority protections?
I seem to remember NY1 reporter Dominic Carter was a wife beater.
FOX 5 reporter Charles Leaf was a child molester.
But you never hear how all reporters are potential wife beaters and child molesters who need to be watched carefully.
And you never hear how much they make in stories when they're arrested either.
I guess teachers are just different.
They're all suspect, just from the fact that they're teachers, and their salary info is public information because it bolsters Bill Gates' case that teachers make too much money and need to have their salary and benefits cuts.
