How many scandals do we have in Bloomberg's third (illegal) term so far?
Here's a recap:
The Independence Party scandal
The CityTime scandal
The NYPD ticket-fixing scandal
The Willard Lanham Project Connect scandal
The latest DOE/outside consultant scandal
How much lost revenue in the ticket-fixing scandal? I haven't seen a dollar amount yet, but since 400 cops are involved, let's estimate it's pretty significant.
In the CityTime scandal, the project is $700 million over budget and over $80 million of that was stolen by the crooks.
In the Lanham scandal, $3.6 million has been stolen.
In the Haggerty/Independence Party scandal, Bloomberg had $1 million of his own money stolen.
In the latest DOE computer tech scandal, there is no dollar amount yet, but looking at the numbers Juan Gonzalez has dug up on just how much the consultants are overcharging the DOE (inflating labor costs by 600%), again it will be significant.
A lot of money is going up in flames here in NYC courtesy of Bloomberg.
That ought to be brought up when he announces teacher layoffs soon.
YES! YES! YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteSo many teachers are going to be up for tenure this year and denied for 'whatever reasons' that principals they think are 'reasonable'. If Bloomberg will not be able to lay off teachers the way he wants, more principals will be discontinuing teachers this year calling them 'ineffective'.
