Eight people shot outside Empire State Building - The Guardian reports the following:

A Twitter user who has tweeted graphic images from the scene of the shooting reports that the Empire State Building continues to welcome tourists.

    I heard about this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/25/empire-state-building-shooting-nypd-bullets-shot-all-nine_n_1830007.html and immediately thought "Reality-Based Educator."

    And then I thought it must be the fault of the teachers. If only the schools could have fired the teachers of the officers back then, these officers would have known better. /sarcasm

    I wrote about this last night but decided not to post it - I was too angry at the coverage all day long about the "hero" cops who shot nine bystanders. But thanks for thinking of me!
