Saw Jerry Williams - known as Swamp Dogg - last Sunday at Lincoln Center. A fantastic show, and if you don't know about him, I want to encourage you to check him out. Here's a You Tube version of Synthetic World from an earlier time:
So far this summer, I've seen the Beach Boys, Arlo Guthrie and Family, George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars, Nile Rogers and Chic, Bettye LaVette, Otis Clay, Willam Bell/Dann Penn/Teenie Hodges as part of the American Songwriters Series, Swamp Dogg, Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), The Ryan Montbleau Band, Marshall Crenshaw and some great July 4th bluegrass.
Still have a couple more shows at City Winery/Hudson Square, the Mighty Diamonds at Summerstage, and Ian Hunter and the Rant Band at Highline Ballroom.
But summer is fast coming to an end.
Hold on, hold on...
