Today they report a de Blasio administrative staffer making $15,600 a year issued some anti-Semitic and misogynistic tweets.
The staffer, who was issuing the tweets under an alias moniker, has resigned.
De Blasio issued the following statement about the incidents:
“Nothing can excuse anti-Semitic remarks and vulgar insults about women. I am disgusted and shocked by these outrageous comments,” de Blasio said.
I guess this is supposed to make de Blasio look bad?
I guess this is supposed to make it look like de Blasio makes bad hiring decisions?
I guess this is supposed to enter the electorate's subconscious that de Blasio may be anti-Semitic and misogynistic?
All of this is silly.
The staffer issued vile tweets.
The staffer is gone.
The staffer was an administrative assistant, not part of de Blasio's inner staff.
Trying to make de Blasio look bad for a low level staffer's tweets is like trying to make Bloomberg look bad for some EMS worker tweeting vile things under an alias.
