Dirty Tricks Campaign Waged Against De Blasio

Someone is sending out negative robocalls about de Blasio to members of the press without identifying who's behind the calls:
And:
Here:
And finally:

That should be the story tomorrow - some unidentified campaign or someone or some group associated with an unidentified campaign - is sending out negative robocalls without identifying themselves.

Now we don't know if anybody outside the press actually got any of these calls, but it's weird that so many members of the press got the calls on a Sunday night during a holiday weekend.

Sounds like it's just aimed at them.

If I had to guess, I would bet these calls are coming from the Thompson campaign.

They started that lame "Bill de Bliar" website late last week and have been trying to undermine de Blasio's credibility and honesty using a story in the DN that reported de Blasio may not have disclosed all his meetings with lobbyists.

This sounds like something the Thompson campaign - or a Thompson surrogate (say the UFT) - might do.

In any case, it's slimy and desperate - kinda like the Bill de Bliar website.
