Will New Yorkers Ever Realize What A Thug Andrew Cuomo Is?

Why hasn't Mr. Astorino been able to capitalize? My sources tell me that the Republican is running a good campaign but that the governor's huge money advantage—as of mid-July the Cuomo campaign had $35 million on hand, versus $2.4 million for Mr. Astorino—has made it difficult for the lesser-known county executive to gain traction. The governor is using that war chest to attack Mr. Astorino relentlessly, and its size alone scares off would-be donors for the challenger.

Still, as the investigation continues into Mr. Cuomo's anti-anticorruption activities, expect the polls to narrow. Mr. Cuomo has designs on the White House and wants to win re-election by a large margin to prove his bonafides. "The question is whether the Moreland revelations start to get the uninitiated masses to understand what a thug Cuomo is," one source tells me. "This election, even if Andrew the Terrible wins, will be much closer than it appears now."

I'm not sure that New Yorkers will ever see through Cuomo totally and realize what a thug he is, that he operates the state government like an organized crime boss, and that he is a petty, vindictive arrogant prick who shouldn't be running a Sandra Lee Fan Club, let alone the State of New York as governor.

  1. The public's going to have to dig a little. With the MSM doing all it can to protect the 1%'s interests. This corruption investigation will get very little play.

I already see it in the merry way news stations are covering Christie presidential election events more than updates on his scandals.

Most of what people are getting on TV are Cuomo ads, Startup ads, and anti-Astorino ads. It's huge compared to the miniscule Cuomo scandal coverage.
