NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the man who will never be president.Exhibit A:Administration officials confirm Gov. Cuomo has hired GOP strategist and commentator Susan Del Percio to the post of special advisor to the governor, focusing on operations and special projects."I am pleased to welcome Susan Del Percio back to public service,” Cuomo said. "Susan brings years of experience in the public and private sector, as well as new ideas and top-rate talent to this administration, as we work to continue the success we have had over the past three years in creating jobs and building a smarter, healthier, fairer New York."Susan Del Percio, incidentally, is co-director of the GOP's effort to maintain their Senate majority. You can't make that shit up. Exhibit B:
A source told the Record, “Christie instructed the Port Authority officials to float the immediate $4 [bridge toll] hike, and that he and Cuomo would reduce it to $2.” The Star-Ledger reported that two Cuomo commissioners, Scott Rechler and Jeffrey Lynford, were brought into the loop.Conspiring with Chris Christie to do anything is never good news. Exhibit C:
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, standing shoulder to shoulder in Albany with thousands of parents and students who rallied in support of charter schools, vowed on Tuesday to defend the movement and offered a sharply different vision for their place in the educational system than Mayor Bill de Blasio’s.You're conspiring with Republicans, hiring Republicans, pushing Republican policies ...
His name has gotten him places. But the White House won't ever be one of them. Not that he shouldn't run. People like him need the most public smackdown possible, and nothing accomplishes that like a failed presidential bid. Just ask the person Cuomo is modeling himself after: Joe Lieberman.
Good villains are hard to find. Let's cherish the ones we have.
Last line is the only thing I can't agree with - nothing about Cuomo I can cherish.
Well, if Cuomo has alienated the ZombieDems at Daily Kos, he really does have no hopes.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that one of the few pleasures of this degenerate era is watching delusional monsters like Cuomo self-destruct in public, but you take what you can get.
I agree that if the Daily Kossacks don't like him and are equating him with Lieberman, he has no chance to win the Dem nomination.
DeleteI agree too that it will be fun to see Cuomo self-destruct in public when he runs for president.
If anybody is in need of a little humility, it's our state charter school lobbyist.
