Yeah, I know - it sounds like the worst law firm in the history of law firms.
But it's no law firm.
Instead, that is the coalition of business interests, corporate shills and union elites backing Bill Thompson for mayor.
The labor contingent wants the labor rank and file to see their support of Thompson as a reason to come out and vote for him in September.
But I see their support for Thompson as another emblem of how they have sold out working people and union members.
That Weingarten and Mulgrew have seen fit to endorse and raise cash for the candidate with the backing of a Wall Street shill like Al D'amato and an ed deformer like Merryl Tisch crystallizes how the UFT and the AFT have become the Vichy government collaborating with the enemy and selling out their members in order to maintain their power and influence.
As I noted earlier, the good thing in all of this is, many UFT members are saying, if Weingarten and Mulgrew want this, then there must be something wrong with it.
That, frankly, is true of everything Mulgrew and Weingarten want.
