ah...good ol' Jeffrey Hyman (Joey) from Forest Hills High School ('69) extremely introverted as a youth but always remember him taking bass guitar lessons!
He remained very shy, I think, throughout his life. Read a book about the Ramones, Joey comes across as a nice fellow, but ill at ease in his own skin. His height made him feel exposed. Love the voice though - part Elvis, part Queens - great rock n' rock vocalist and writer. Love the allegiance he had to the girl groups, Phil Spector, Beach Boys, too!
I LOVE the Ramones, and used to tell friends I worked at Rock 'n Roll High School! Enjoy the playlist and the 3-day weekend!
ReplyDeleteLately, feels like I work on the USS Caine. Hoping it changes w/ new chancellor.

DeleteI wanna be sedated after teaching in NYC schools.
ReplyDeleteI heard Charlotte Danielson was sniffing glue, not carbona, when she developed her framework.
