2013 Mayoral Race Poll Results

Here they are:

A new Quinnipiac poll in New York City finds Christine Quinn (D) way ahead of her other Democratic challengers for mayor with 29%, followed by Bill Thompson (D) at 10%, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio (D) at 10%, City Comptroller John Liu (D) at 9% and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer (D) at 4%.

Big caveat: The mayoral race isn't until 2013.

A long way off, and yet not that long off.

These poll results are based mostly on name recognition.

Quinn does have a big lead, but remember, you need 50% to avoid a runoff.

So whichever of the bottom tier candidates can get into a runoff with her has a shot to beat her.

  1. Speaking straight into the camera, Joe Soptic, 62, charges Romney with coldly shutting down the plant where he worked and cutting off his health insurance. This, says Soptic, left his wife without insurance to pay for her care, until, falling ill, she went to a doctor, who discovered stage 4 cancer, which killed her in 22 days.
