Know A Man By The Enemies He Makes

NYC Educator says if Weingarten, Bloomberg and Wolfson don't like de Blasio, there may be something to him.

I think he makes a good point.

Diane Ravitch made some good points in her endorsement of de Blasio as well.

Let's see - Ravitch for, Weingarten/Wolfson/Bloomberg against.

Hmm, which side am I on...

    1. This is why I also want to partner with libertarians and Tea Partiers against Common Core. We can have our other battles later - let's take on the common enemy in common cause first!

  2. Great post. I was actually thinking about this today.

Who knows what de Blasio will be like if he becomes mayor, but, at this point who IS against de Blasio tells a lot.

If I may add to your list of de Blasio non-supporters...

Tisch, Ray Kelly, Walcott, Moskowitz, Pakolow-Suransky, the rich, and certainly King.

That Thompson has pro-privatization Tisch in his corner ain't a good thing for me, as a public school teacher, also.

    1. Yup.
Tisch = death knell for Thompson to me. No way I could support him. Doesn't matter what Randi and Mikey say.

  3. You know I have supported Thompson all along as I believe he would be the best candidate for teachers. However, after hearing, seeing, and experiencing many of the Bloomberg policies I am switching my allegiance to DeBlasio. I still think Thompson is the one to beat as I have never thought that Quinn could survive term limts. But I must confess with Diane Ravitch supporting DeBlasio that has turned my support.

    1. I'm glad to hear it. Ravitch;s endorsement won over at least one vote.

I bet you're not alone in that department. I bet there will be more teachers who decide if Ravitch is supporting de Blasio and Weingarten, Tisch and Mulgrew are supporting Thompson, they're going to go with de Blasio.
